Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otavio Arlindo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rasan gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). gracie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by wanderlei intro . Otavio Arlindo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to rasan gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Otavio Arlindo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, rasan gracie!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlindo rushes gracie and presses him up against the cage.
gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Arlindo smiles and moves away.
Arlindo throws a head kick that gracie semi-blocks.
Arlindo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
gracie has gone for a leg lock! Arlindo slips out almost immediately though and dives into gracie's guard.
Arlindo trying to control but gracie is working from the bottom.
Arlindo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arlindo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arlindo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Arlindo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Arlindo wants to control from the top but gracie keeps moving.
gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Arlindo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
gracie looks gassed!
gracie has a closed guard, preventing Arlindo from standing up.
gracie working for a triangle but Arlindo defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Arlindo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
gracie looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Arlindo has picked gracie up and slammed him! gracie can't keep hold of the triangle and Arlindo manages to pass to side control!
gracie is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
gracie is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Arlindo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
gracie is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
gracie tries to reverse the position but Arlindo maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Arlindo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Arlindo won't let gracie get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Arlindo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down gracie for as long as he can get away with.
Arlindo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for gracie on the ground.
gracie tries to reverse the position but Arlindo maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

gracie is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Otavio Arlindo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Arlindo tries to clinch but gracie moves out of range.
gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Arlindo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, gracie asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Arlindo gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

gracie working for a submission but Arlindo is keeping him at bay.
gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Arlindo has his hands clasped together but gracie breaks the hold and Arlindo is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by gracie!
