Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aleksei Kruschev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Sadaliv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksei Kruschev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amir Sadaliv! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Sadaliv.
A head kick from Sadaliv lands but Kruschev takes it in his stride. Sadaliv buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Amir Sadaliv seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sadaliv is looking to clinch but Kruschev is avoiding it.
Kruschev stuffs the takedown attempt from Sadaliv. Sadaliv gets slowly back to his feet. Sadaliv drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruschev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sadaliv is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sadaliv trying to control the position from guard on top but Kruschev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sadaliv is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kruschev throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruschev looking for a sweep. Not yet Kruschev, not yet. Kruschev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sadaliv on the ground. Sadaliv works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kruschev wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kruschev shoots and misses letting Sadaliv counter with a right hand. Sadaliv gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kruschev counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sadaliv looks gassed! Sadaliv is trying to control the position but Kruschev postures up. Kruschev throws a strike but Sadaliv rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sadaliv drops back looking for a leg! Kruschev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kruschev manages to kick Sadaliv off! Sadaliv jumps back into Kruschev's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sadaliv looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sadaliv drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sadaliv jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kruschev is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sadaliv tries to roll over but Kruschev keeps him under control. Kruschev missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sadaliv wants to improve his position but Kruschev is controlling well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kruschev working over Sadaliv with some ground and pound. Sadaliv looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sadaliv is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kruschev pulls his head out easily. Sadaliv looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kruschev scoring with strikes to the body and head. Sadaliv looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kruschev fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sadaliv.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kruschev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kruschev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Sadaliv is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Sadaliv looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sadaliv is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kruschev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kruschev's back! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sadaliv gets his hands free as Kruschev looks to control. Sadaliv biding his time, controlling Kruschev. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Sadaliv has the hooks in. Kruschev is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aleksei Kruschev will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sadaliv with a lazy takedown attempt and Kruschev counters with a single leg into guard. Sadaliv didn't expect that. Kruschev preventing the sweep. Kruschev thows a big elbow that misses. Kruschev wants to pass the guard but Sadaliv is keeping the position. Kruschev lands a couple of elbows. Sadaliv working for a triangle but Kruschev defends it easily.
Kruschev avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruschev wants to pass the guard but Sadaliv is keeping the position. Kruschev throws a strike but Sadaliv rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sadaliv thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kruschev trying to control the position.
Sadaliv pushes down on Kruschev's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kruschev is not content to let Sadaliv control the position. Kruschev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kruschev tries to get out of the position. Kruschev wants to get back to his feet. Sadaliv is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kruschev! Sadaliv takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruschev wants to sweep but no luck. Sadaliv passes into half guard. Sadaliv passes to full mount! Sadaliv looking to secure an arm triangle but Kruschev defends it well. Sadaliv is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kruschev has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sadaliv working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Kruschev looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Sadaliv! Submission of the night perhaps?
