Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Felin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felin has chosen poisen as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Pound! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikael Felin! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Felin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pound shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pound was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pound takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Felin is trying to escape the mount.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ground Pound just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Felin tries for a takedown but Pound sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pound drives through with a takedown into guard. Pound pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Felin is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Felin actively working from the bottom here. Pound not doing much here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ground Pound just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Pound shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Felin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Felin looks gassed! Pound slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Felin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pound is controlling him. Pound is stalling in the full guard. Pound's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Felin keeping full guard, as Pound tries to pass. Pound stays in close to Felin's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pound lands with an overhand left. Pound closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pound remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Felin fails with the takedown and Pound counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Pound stalks Felin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Felin's face. Felin staggers backwards, shaken. Felin is breathing heavily. Pound scores with a three punch combo!
Pound is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Felin's half guard. Pound controlling the pace.

Pound not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pound perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pound trying to mount his opponent but Felin defends it. Pound content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Felin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pound stalling. Pound seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pound gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Pound throws a combination. Felin tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Felin gets caught flat footed, as Pound shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Pound trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pound not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pound has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pound seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Felin for as long as he can get away with.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pound sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pound pushing down on Felin's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Pound controlling the pace. Pound tries to pass to full mount but Felin defends it. Pound frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A nice combination there by Pound.
Felin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Felin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Pound shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Felin's guard. Felin trying to control the position.
Pound slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pound stands up over Felin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Pound has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Felin is proving hard to escape from. Pound is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Felin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound passes Felin's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pound slows the pace down in half guard. Pound tries to pass the half guard into mount. Felin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pound is controlling the pace.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ground Pound just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Felin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pound paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pound gets a takedown into half guard. Pound is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Pound has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pound stuns Felin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Pound bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Ground Pound is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Felin is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Felin seems a little lost for a moment, as Pound dominates the positioning. Mikael Felin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Felin tries to buck Pound off but Pound is having none of it. Pound moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Ground Pound showed his dominance in that final round. Well Pound has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
