Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kustaa Pohjanala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pohjanala comes into the arena with Scooter - Fire blaring out of the sound system. Redman has chosen Sympathy for the Devil as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pohjanala is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Redman swats away the attempt to clinch by Pohjanala. Pohjanala tries to close the distance and clinch up but Redman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pohjanala pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Redman fails with a takedown attempt. Redman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Redman trying to mount his opponent but Pohjanala defends it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Redman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pohjanala! Redman sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Redman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pohjanala is on top in guard.

Redman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pohjanala puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Redman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pohjanala defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Redman dominated that round. That's time! Pohjanala's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pohjanala looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pohjanala tries to clinch up. Pohjanala clinches up against the cage. Pohjanala lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Redman tries to pull guard but Pohjanala won't allow it.
Pohjanala throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Redman blocks it with crossed arms. Redman tries to pull guard but Pohjanala holds him up against the cage and eventually Redman drops back down to his feet.
Redman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pohjanala smiles and moves away.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pohjanala walks away with a smile on his face. Redman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kustaa Pohjanala is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pohjanala fails to land with a series of punches.

He has the arm isolated but Pohjanala is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Redman tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Pohjanala might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pohjanala wants to control but Redman postures up. Redman trying to control the position but Pohjanala is working away. Redman tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pohjanala's legs. Pohjanala tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Redman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Redman has hold of Pohjanala's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Pohjanala tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Redman cranks the arm and Pohjanala screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Pohjanala, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
