The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No joy there for van der Rohen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

van der Rohen lands a left and a right that send Bong crashing to the mat, dazed. van der Rohen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bong chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before van der Rohen can pounce on him.
van der Rohen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
van der Rohen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bong. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Bong bounces back off the cage towards van der Rohen, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! van der Rohen lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! van der Rohen celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
