Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Daley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Smith! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily. Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Daley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Smith slips a jab and a cross from Daley.

Daley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Daley jumps guard but Smith stands there with Daley around his waist. Daley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Daley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Daley pulls Smith into guard.

Daley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Daley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Daley is breathing heavily.

Smith stands up from Daley's guard - Smith perhaps looking for a knockout. Smith throws a head kick but Daley moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Smith misses with a head kick.

Smith lands a big head kick that sends Daley tumbling to the mat! Smith takes a step backwards and waves Daley back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Daley is rocked! Smith throws a head kick but Daley moves out of range.
Oh Daley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Joe Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Smith! This one is all over!
