Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Mroz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coronel Avas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mroz comes to the cage accompanied by his song - Miliony Monet. Coronel Avas looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lukasz Mroz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Coronel Avas!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avas tries to clinch but Mroz is having none of it.
Avas fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Avas gets caught flat footed, as Mroz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Avas tries to strike from the bottom.
Mroz cracks Avas with a solid left hand.
Mroz passes Avas's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Avas tries to get to full guard but Mroz has control of the leg.
Mroz trying to control from half guard but Avas is working away.
Mroz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mroz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Avas defending well though.
Avas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Avas wants to control but Mroz is keeping busy.

Avas manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Avas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mroz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mroz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Avas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mroz defends it easily.
Avas looks gassed!
Mroz with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mroz pushing down on Avas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Mroz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Avas is looking for a sweep. Mroz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mroz working the head and body with strikes.

Mroz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Avas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mroz.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mroz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mroz trying to control the pace.
Avas wants to get back to his feet.
Mroz is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukasz Mroz dominated that round.
That's time! Mroz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Mroz gets a takedown into half guard.
Avas trying to control but Mroz postures up.
Mroz is trying to control. Avas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mroz controlling the pace.
Avas is breathing heavily.

Mroz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Mroz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mroz controlling the action here.
Mroz is nestled in close to Avas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mroz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Mroz controlling the action here.
Avas trying to control from the bottom.
Avas is trying to control but Mroz manages to pass to mount!
BOOM! Mroz connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mroz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Avas is looking to improve his position but Mroz isn't that keen on the idea.
Avas taking shots to the head.
Avas tries to lock up and control but Mroz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mroz working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Avas turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mroz off and cradles Avas's limp body as Mroz celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Lukasz Mroz!
