Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Peers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Kellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kellis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cypress Hill How I Could Just Kill a Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Peers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucas Kellis! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kellis fails to land the takedown. Peers drives through with a takedown into guard. Kellis is trying to keep Peers in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peers wants to stand but Kellis is controlling his posture from full guard. Peers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kellis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peers's guard. Peers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kellis looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peers is breathing heavily. Kellis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kellis postures up and lands a big shot to Peers's brow. Peers throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Peers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kellis on the ground. Peers keeping busy on the bottom but Kellis has passed one foot through into half guard.
Kellis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Peers wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Peers is in trouble now - Kellis has advanced to mount! Peers is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kellis wants to finish this one by submission but Peers is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kellis.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peers tries to get out of the position. Kellis tries to control but Peers wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peers looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Peers avoids the strikes from Kellis. Kellis wants to control the position but Peers frees himself and scrambles - Kellis manages to regain control in side control.
Kellis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Peers is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Peers is looking to regain half guard here but Kellis keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peers throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Kellis fails with the takedown and Peers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kellis's guard now. Kellis keeping moving, preventing Peers from controlling successfully. Peers is looking to stand up but Kellis won't let him. Kellis controlling Peers's posture. Peers wants to pass the guard but Kellis is keeping the position. Kellis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Peers! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kellis is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Peers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kellis swats him away and circles back towards the center. Peers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! William Peers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kellis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Peers rushes Kellis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kellis tries to land knees in the clinch but Peers avoids the damage to the body. Kellis is trying to break free. Kellis goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Peers misses with an elbow over the top. Kellis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Peers just stands there and leans against the cage. Kellis looking to stall.
Peers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Peers throws a sloppy head kick and Kellis counters with a takedown into side control. Peers tries to bench press Kellis off him but Kellis keeps the position. Kellis trying to control the position but Peers is working away. Peers throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Kellis is looking to take a break and control but Peers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Peers struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kellis cracks Peers with an elbow. That is naaassty. Peers tries to buck Kellis off but Kellis is having none of it. Kellis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kellis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Both fighters take a look at the clock. Peers is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kellis has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kellis trying to control the position but Peers is working away. Peers is trying to control Kellis's posture but Kellis avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Lucas Kellis will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Some bone on bone action there as Peers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Peers throws a nice head kick!

Kellis lands with a right hand. Peers buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kellis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peers is fending him off so far but Kellis persists. Nope, Peers circles away and we're back to standing. William Peers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Kellis. Peers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Peers remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Peers trying to control the action but Kellis is working from the bottom. Kellis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Peers's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kellis is refusing to be controlled, as Peers sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kellis is trying to maintain the position but Peers is very close to passing his half guard. Lucas Kellis has got the better of the ground game so far. Kellis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Peers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Peers's back! Peers fending off the submission attempt from Kellis. Peers can't escape the position.

Kellis has got one arm under Peers's chin. This could be trouble... Peers trying to control the other hand but Kellis gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Peers has tapped out! The fight is over!
