Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobrawl shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hawking defends it nicely.
Hawking lands the left hand.
Hawking is looking to clinch but Sobrawl is avoiding it.
Hawking displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sobrawl.
Sobrawl throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hawking was covering up waiting for the punch and Sobrawl finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hawking pulls Sobrawl in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hawking looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sobrawl is one step ahead there.

Hawking is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sobrawl trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawking is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hawking tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sobrawl throws a strike but Hawking rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hawking is looking to stand up but Sobrawl won't let him.
Hawking wants to control from the top but Sobrawl keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hawking lands with a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sobrawl shoots in but Hawking avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renata Sobrawl. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawking tried to score with a low kick but Sobrawl checks it.
Hawking misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sobrawl.
Sobrawl shoots in and drives through. Hawking sprawls well.

and Hawking counters with a stiff right hand.

Hawking lands a nice shot to the body.
Hawking tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sobrawl paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hawking cracks a nice hook into Sobrawl's ribs.
Hawking misses the shot to the body.
Hawking takes a swing at Sobrawl's ribcage but misses.
Hawking wants to clinch up but Sobrawl keeps it at a distance.
Sobrawl avoids the body shot from Hawking.
Hawking throws a body punch but Sobrawl moves out of range.

Hawking scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sobrawl keeps the fight on the outside.
Hawking misses with an uppercut. Sobrawl saw that one coming.
Sobrawl has his takedown stuffed
and Hawking counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hawking lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sobrawl checks a leg kick nicely.
Hawking throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sobrawl stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephen Hawking dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sobrawl tries to keep at a distance but Hawking has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hawking pushes Sobrawl back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hawking lands a body shot in the clinch.
Hawking digs a right hand into Sobrawl's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sobrawl's gas tank.
Sobrawl breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hawking is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Sobrawl has his takedown stuffed
and Hawking counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hawking comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hawking throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hawking cracks Sobrawl with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
