Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Wankerl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wankerl comes to the cage accompanied by Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix. Victor Santana will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Santana! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Santana slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Wankerl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santana can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Santana pushing down on Wankerl's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Wankerl is staying active underneath Santana, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wankerl wants to improve his position but Santana is controlling well.
Santana is trying to work for a kimura but Wankerl is defending well.
Santana is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wankerl manages to get to full guard.
Wankerl looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santana is one step ahead there. Santana wants to control from the top but Wankerl keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wankerl is looking for a triangle but Santana pushes his legs off easily.
Santana drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santana jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wankerl has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Santana doesn't defend quickly enough and Wankerl has managed to lock this one up! Can Santana escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wankerl on a fantastic submission victory.
