Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Spicey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spicey shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Grant works his way to full guard. Good work.

Grant isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Spicey stacks Grant on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Spicey!

Spicey tries to stand but Grant is controlling his head.

Spicey decides to stand back up.

Spicey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Spicey lands in his opponent's guard.
Grant manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Spicey manages to get himself to full guard.
Grant passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Grant creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Spicey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Grant misses with the ground and pound.
Grant has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Spicey!

Grant tries to control but Spicey wriggling away.
Grant is looking to work his way around to Spicey's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grant misses with a head shot.
Grant lands with some strikes.

Grant goes for an armbar but Spicey turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Spicey.
Grant doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Grant is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Spicey defends well.
Grant trying to keep a closed guard but Spicey is proving a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grant throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Spicey tries to free his leg and advance position but Grant is retaining full guard.

Spicey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grant has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spicey has managed to get both his arms back between Grant's legs - danger averted.
Grant wants to sweep here but Spicey controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Grant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Grant trying to control the position but instead, Spicey has worked for underhooks and has pushed Grant into the cage.
Grant tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spicey smiles and moves away.

and Spicey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Grant's guard.

Grant has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Grant will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Grant looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Spicey passes into side control.
Spicey is breathing heavily.
Grant is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Grant is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Spicey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Grant wants to control but Spicey is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Grant is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Spicey blocks the strikes from Grant.
Spicey tries to stand but can't do so whilst Grant controls his leg.
Grant is pressing down on Spicey's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Spicey is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Grant has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Spicey is looking to defend but Grant has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Spicey! Grant pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Spicey taps out and this one is all over!
