Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Yerigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yerigan comes to the cage accompanied by holler til you pass out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Yerigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ultimate Warrior!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yerigan closes the distance and clinches up with Warrior, looking for a takedown. Yerigan pushes Warrior against the cage but Warrior circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Warrior lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Yerigan dodges the punch combination from Warrior.
Warrior rushes Yerigan and presses him up against the cage.
Yerigan wants to break free but Warrior has control.
Warrior breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A good leg kick by Warrior.
Warrior lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A head kick misses from Yerigan.
A slapping leg kick lands for Warrior.
Yerigan is breathing heavily.

Warrior takes the fight into the clinch.

Yerigan shoots for a double leg takedown but Warrior sprawls well. He's pushed Yerigan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Warrior misses with a few strikes there.

Yerigan has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Warrior.
Warrior forces Yerigan back against the cage and clinches.
Warrior manages to break the clinch.
Warrior throws a right and a left that Yerigan avoids nicely.
Warrior drops Yerigan with a nice combination! Warrior dives into Yerigan's guard, looking to finish!
It looks like Matt Yerigan has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Warrior gets to his feet. Yerigan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Yerigan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Warrior counters by clinching up.
Warrior breaks the clinch.
Warrior dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Warrior misses with a series of wild punches.
Yerigan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Warrior is trying to defend but Yerigan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Warrior tries to buck Yerigan off but he can't manage it.
Warrior is in a horrible position here. Yerigan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yerigan won't let Warrior get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

You get the feeling that Warrior really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warrior is squirming around, avoiding Yerigan's attempts to control the action.
Warrior has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Yerigan tightening his grip on Warrior, looking for the choke.
Yerigan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Warrior is defending well though. Yerigan let's go of the attempt for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Warrior has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yerigan has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Warrior.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ultimate Warrior dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Matt Yerigan's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Yerigan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Warrior makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yerigan fails with a takedown attempt.
Warrior circles away from the clinch attempt
and Warrior counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Warrior lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Warrior.

No joy there for Warrior, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Warrior looks to land a combination. Yerigan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Yerigan wants to clinch but Warrior slips to the side
and Warrior counters with a slapping leg kick.
A head kick by Yerigan misses
and Warrior counters with a thumping low kick.
Nice takedown defense from Warrior. No joy for Yerigan on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Yerigan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Warrior lands with a straight right. Yerigan didn't see that one coming.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Yerigan shoots in for a takedown but Warrior shows good takedown defense.

Warrior lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Warrior tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yerigan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yerigan moves in looking to clinch but Warrior pushes him off.
Ultimate Warrior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warrior bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Yerigan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Warrior makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Yerigan really felt that one!
Horrible takedown by Yerigan or perhaps it was just good defense by Warrior which made him look bad.
Warrior shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Warrior showed some decent athleticism there.
Warrior decides to stand and escape the position.
Yerigan tries to clinch there but Warrior circles away.
Warrior misses with the combination.

Yerigan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Warrior napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Warrior throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yerigan was covering up waiting for the punch and Warrior finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Yerigan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Yerigan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warrior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Yerigan is tightening it up a little... Warrior has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Warrior reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Warrior taps out! nice BJJ there by Yerigan!
