Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francis Highway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astra has chosen Once in a Lifetime as his entrance music. Francis Highway has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francis Highway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amadeus Astra!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astra keeps the fight on the outside.
Astra lands with a nice body punch.
Highway takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Highway takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Astra connects with the punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Highway.
Highway is breathing heavily.
Astra steps into range and cracks Highway with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Highway flops backwards and Astra dives into his guard looking to finish!
Highway is rocked!
Astra chips away with some ground and pound.
Oh Highway is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Astra trying to control the position from guard on top but Highway is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Highway seems to have got his legs back now.
Astra stays in close to Highway's body and controls the position.

Astra lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Astra loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Astra forces his way into half guard.
Astra working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Astra lands strikes from half guard.
Astra uses his free foot to push down on Highway's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Highway.
Astra content just to control the position here.
Astra is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Highway to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Highway shrugs it off.

Astra lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Astra wants to control the pace but Highway is squirming around nicely.

Astra lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Highway is squirming around, avoiding Astra's attempts to control the action.

The referee warns Highway that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Highway is bucking up trying to escape but Astra cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Astra breaks from Highway's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amadeus Astra dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Decent striking displayed by Astra there.
Highway shoots in but Astra avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Highway doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nice combo by Astra! Oh, that's hurt him - Highway falls to the canvas and Astra follows him into side control.
Highway is rocked!
Highway on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Highway tries to get out of the position.
Astra has an Americana. Highway didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Astra is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Astra hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Amadeus Astra!
