Necktie's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ol' Dirty Bastard - Shimmy Shimmy Ya. Tate has chosen Sevendust -- Black as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate's corner calls for a 1-2. Tate obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Mauno Necktie has been cut.
Necktie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tate cracks Necktie with an open hand slap.
Tate throws a hook to the side of Necktie's head but Necktie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tate throws out a loose jab but Necktie uses good head movement to avoid it.
A combination from Tate does no damage.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Necktie.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tate tries to bench press Necktie off him but Necktie keeps the position.
Necktie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tate is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Tate avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Necktie.
Necktie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Necktie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tate managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Necktie.
Tate is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Necktie trying to control the position but Tate is working away.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Necktie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Necktie.
Necktie is working Tate over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
