Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janu Haperenu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alanzo Pasqualli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haperenu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pasqualli sprawls well initially but Haperenu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pasqualli is trying to stand up here but Haperenu is controlling him well.

Haperenu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haperenu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Haperenu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pasqualli pushes Haperenu off looking to stand but Haperenu dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pasqualli takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Alanzo Pasqualli has been cut.
Haperenu misses with a wild combination.

You get the feeling that Pasqualli really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Haperenu is landing with some decent strikes but Pasqualli is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Haperenu connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Pasqualli to escape the position.
Pasqualli is trying to get back to his feet but Haperenu has full control of the position and if anything, Pasqualli has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Haperenu is persistently looking for the submission but Pasqualli is defending it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Pasqualli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haperenu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pasqualli refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Pasqualli's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
