Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Collins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Beginning of the End. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bryan Baker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Collins!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Collins did well to prevent Baker getting side control.

Baker wants to work for an arm triangle but Collins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Collins can do anything to dispel that myth.
Baker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Baker not doing much here.
Baker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Baker wants to pass the guard but Collins is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baker is working for a kimura but Collins is defending it quite comfortably.

Baker wants to work for an arm triangle but Collins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Baker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Collins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Baker to the mat! Baker manages to get full guard.
Collins tries to free his leg and advance position but Baker is retaining full guard.
Collins trying to control the position from guard on top but Baker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Baker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Collins is looking to work some ground and pound but Baker has wrist control.
Collins is working Baker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Collins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Baker is keeping the position for now.
Collins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Baker's head.
Baker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Baker is keen to just control but Collins is a slippery customer.

Collins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Baker stops Collins from standing up.
Baker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Baker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Baker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bryan Baker just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Baker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Collins tries to avoid it but Baker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Collins to the ground. Collins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Baker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Collins to the mat! Collins manages to get full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Baker dominated that round.
That's time! Baker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Baker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Collins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Collins has escaped and now he's on top!
Collins stays in close to Baker's body and controls the position.
Baker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Collins's guard.

Collins is posturing up here but Baker has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Collins tries to roll out but it's too tight and Collins has to tap! Slick submission there by Baker!
