Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Bongwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mack comes to the cage accompanied by Navras. Bongwater is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Peter Tosh - Speech about Herb. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mack takes one on the button. Bongwater slips under a jab from Mack. Mack throws a right hand that Bongwater ducks under and follows up with a left that Bongwater also avoids with ease. Bongwater shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Nice strikes from Bongwater there. Bongwater is looking to pass Mack's guard but actually Mack recovers to full guard. Mack working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bongwater. Bongwater with a flurry of punches that miss. Bongwater throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mack works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bongwater tries to free his leg and advance position but Mack is retaining full guard. Bongwater working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Bongwater throwing strikes from guard but Mack blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bongwater postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bongwater slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mack looking for a sweep. Not yet Mack, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bongwater darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bongwater is taking a breather. Mack says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bongwater trying to mount his opponent but Mack defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack is refusing to be controlled, as Bongwater sits in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bongwater connects with a nice short shot to Mack's temple. Mack might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bongwater seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mack keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mack has hold of Bongwater's hands but Bongwater slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bongwater keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mack is refusing to be controlled, as Bongwater sits in half guard. Bongwater thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bongwater throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bongwater stands and throws Mack's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mack parries the strikes from Bongwater easily there. Bongwater is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mack to escape.

Mack is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mack thows a body shot but no joy. Mack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mack wants it to stay on the feet. Bongwater throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mack counters with a left and a right that stings Bongwater. Mack throws a combination that misses and Bongwater decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mack's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bongwater wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving. Bongwater postures up in Mack's guard and throws a big left but Mack blocks it. Mack trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bongwater pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mack is keeping the position for now. Bongwater has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bongwater trying to control but Mack is working from the bottom. Mack being controlled here, momentarily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bongwater thuds a left hand into Mack's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bongwater with a poor takedown letting Mack counter with a right hand.
It looks like Bud Bongwater has been cut. Bongwater with a poor takedown and Mack counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dave Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bud Bongwater. Bongwater is pulling down on Mack's head to control his posture. Bongwater looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bongwater pulls Mack in close to prevent any damage. Mack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bongwater preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bongwater lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mack! Mack wants to control but Bongwater is having none of it. Bongwater throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Mack working to try and regain half guard.
Bongwater controlling the position easily from mount. Bongwater lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dave Mack will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bud Bongwater's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Bongwater fails with the takedown and Mack counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mack thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mack performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bongwater can do anything to dispel that myth. Bongwater keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bongwater is concentrating on defense, preventing Mack from advancing position. Mack not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bongwater is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mack seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bongwater looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mack trying to control the position from guard on top but Bongwater is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mack stopping the sweep attempt from Bongwater. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mack looking to sit in guard and control but Bongwater gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Mack showed his dominance in that final round. I think Mack has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
