Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Warren Sapp!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Austin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin looks to land a body kick but Sapp moved away.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

Austin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Sapp is desperately trying to improve his position but Austin has a good base and remains in mount.
Austin controlling his opponent.
Sapp wants to control but Austin is having none of it.
Austin is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Sapp is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Austin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sapp hang on?
Sapp is trying to escape the mount.

Sapp wants to hold on but Austin pushes him away.
Sapp is bucking up trying to escape but Austin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Austin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Austin controlling the position easily from mount.

Austin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sapp is trying desperately to improve position.
Sapp slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Austin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sapp defends it well.
Austin trying to mount his opponent but Sapp defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Austin dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Austin is looking to land body kicks.
Sapp misses with a few strikes there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Austin misses with a knee strike.
Sapp can't find room to land a body shot as Austin controls the action.
Sapp tries for a takedown. No joy.

Austin is trying to trip Sapp. He has hold of a leg but Sapp is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Austin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Austin wants to control from the top but Sapp keeps moving.
Sapp punching from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Austin chips away with some ground and pound.

Austin trying to control the position from guard on top but Sapp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Austin's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Austin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sapp has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Austin has managed to get both his arms back between Sapp's legs - danger averted.

Sapp is trying to control the position but Austin postures up.
Sapp might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Austin stands and steps away. Sapp gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A punch combination from Austin misses.
A combination from Austin does no damage.

Austin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Austin pulls Sapp into guard.
Sapp won't allow Austin to sweep him here.
Sapp would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Austin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sapp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sapp trying to control but Austin is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sapp postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Austin keeping moving, preventing Sapp from controlling successfully.
Austin trying to keep a closed guard but Sapp is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sapp looks for a takedown but Austin sprawls well.

Austin rushes Sapp and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Austin cracks Sapp with a nice body shot.
Austin jumps guard but Sapp stands there with Austin around his waist. Austin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sapp works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Sapp stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Austin has closed the distance and engaged Sapp in a clinch.
Austin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sapp gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sapp tries to break the clinch but Austin is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Austin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Austin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sapp is trying to hold Austin in close to prevent damage but Austin has managed to pass into half guard.
Sapp tries to roll over but Austin keeps him under control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Austin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Sapp wanted to stand there but Austin had control of the position.

Austin is controlling Sapp's posture.

Sapp is sitting in close to Austin's body. Austin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sapp is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sapp is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Austin.
