Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Linus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rhodes comes to the cage accompanied by Freebird. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dusty Rhodes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Linus! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rhodes drives through and clinches with Linus against the cage.
Rhodes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rhodes works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Rhodes tries to free his leg and advance position but Linus is retaining full guard. Rhodes looking to sit in guard and control but Linus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rhodes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rhodes is adopting a defensive guard. Linus won't allow Rhodes to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Linus trying to control the position from guard on top but Rhodes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rhodes is controlling Linus's posture. Rhodes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rhodes tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rhodes pulls Linus in to control the position. Rhodes wants to sweep here but Linus controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Linus controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Linus trying to control the position from guard on top but Rhodes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rhodes is controlling Linus's posture. Rhodes wants to sweep but no luck. Rhodes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Rhodes's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Dusty Rhodes just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Rhodes darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Linus pushes Rhodes off looking to stand but Rhodes dives back in and keeps control.
Rhodes is looking to pass Linus's guard but actually Linus recovers to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rhodes trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Linus manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dusty Rhodes dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Linus stopping the sweep attempt from Rhodes. Rhodes has his hands on Linus's head, controlling the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rhodes keeping moving, preventing Linus from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Linus tries for a takedown but Rhodes circles away easily so Rhodes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rhodes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Linus swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rhodes chips away with some ground and pound. Rhodes throws and elbow that misses. Linus uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rhodes's guard. Nice move by Linus! Rhodes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rhodes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Rhodes looking for a sweep. Not yet Rhodes, not yet.

Rhodes wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Linus wants to control from the top but Rhodes keeps moving. Rhodes wants to sweep here but Linus controlling him for the moment. Rhodes pulls Linus in close to prevent any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Dusty Rhodes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rhodes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
