 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panizzi scores with a takedown into Leblanc's guard. Panizzi wants to pass the guard but Leblanc is keeping the position.
Panizzi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Leblanc looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Leblanc looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Leblanc! Leblanc wants to stand but Panizzi is controlling his arm. Panizzi sneaks back into half guard. Leblanc wants to stand up but Panizzi is controlling the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Panizzi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Leblanc knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Panizzi on the ground. Panizzi looks gassed! Panizzi flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Leblanc wants to clinch. Jack Leblanc is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Leblanc tries to clinch but Panizzi is having none of it. Leblanc throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Panizzi. Leblanc tries to clinch but Panizzi moves out of range. Jack Leblanc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leblanc cracks Panizzi with a right hand to the side of the head. Leblanc misses with a wild combination.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Panizzi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Leblanc misses with a series of wild punches.

Panizzi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Panizzi wants to pass the guard but Leblanc is defending well. Panizzi prevents Leblanc from standing back up.
Leblanc is trying to escape back to his feet but Panizzi uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Panizzi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Leblanc has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Panizzi staying calm.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Leblanc pushes Panizzi away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Panizzi gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Panizzi has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Panizzi is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Panizzi!
