Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua tries to clinch up.
Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomes tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomes to the ground. Gomes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gomes throws a series of punches but Rua avoids them all with ease.
Gomes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rua tries to clinch but Gomes moves out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Gomes. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gomes.
It looks like Mauricio Rua has been cut.
Gomes waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Rua. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Rua to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Gomes trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gomes passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rua is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gomes's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Rua looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gomes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Gomes is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Gomes decides to stand up.
Gomes works Rua's body with a nice hook.
Gomes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Gomes drops Rua with a nice combination! Gomes dives into Rua's guard, looking to finish!
Rua is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gomes sitting in guard here, content to control.
Oh Rua is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rua is looking for a triangle here but Gomes uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Gomes advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gomes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rua's face.
Gomes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A nice elbow there by Gomes.
Gomes takes Rua's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gomes is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Rua defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Gomes has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Rua! Can he survive? No! He's out! Gomes gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
