Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between rocky boxxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). boxxer comes to the ring accompanied by eye of the tiger . Maurice Brennan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with rocky boxxer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maurice Brennan!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
boxxer is looking to clinch but Brennan is avoiding it.
boxxer moves into the clinch.
Brennan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
boxxer wanted to stand there but Brennan had control of the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Brennan wants to sweep but no luck.
Brennan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
boxxer trying to control but Brennan postures up.
Brennan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
boxxer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Brennan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so boxxer is just riding it out for now. Brennan eventually gives up the hold.
Brennan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Brennan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brennan is working for a kimura but boxxer is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
boxxer wants to control but Brennan is keeping busy and won't allow it.

boxxer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brennan on the ground.
Brennan is working for a submission of some sort.
boxxer is trying to stand.
boxxer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
boxxer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
boxxer trying to control the position from guard on top but Brennan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brennan wants to improve his position but instead boxxer has moved into half guard.
boxxer drops an elbow to the side of Brennan's head.

boxxer tries to hold on but Brennan pushes him away.
boxxer is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Brennan wants to finish this one by submission but boxxer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brennan.
Brennan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force boxxer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so boxxer shrugs it off.
boxxer is looking to improve his position but Brennan isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
boxxer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Brennan moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, boxxer has worked his arm free - good work by boxxer!

A close round but Maurice Brennan will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
boxxer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A head kick misses from boxxer.
boxxer lands a jab to Brennan's midsection.
boxxer shoots for a takedown but Brennan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brennan is breathing heavily.
boxxer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brennan to the mat! Brennan manages to get full guard.
boxxer controlling from the top position.
Brennan has a closed guard, preventing boxxer from standing up.

Brennan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
boxxer wants to pass the guard but Brennan is keeping the position.
Brennan keeping moving, preventing boxxer from controlling successfully.
Brennan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! boxxer escapes and throws Brennan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Brennan is not content to let boxxer control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brennan tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but boxxer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
boxxer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brennan is looking to escape.
boxxer landing strikes from the mount.
boxxer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
boxxer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Brennan working to try and regain half guard.
boxxer looking to control but Brennan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Brennan is looking to improve his position but boxxer isn't that keen on the idea.
Brennan tries to improve his position but instead boxxer has taken his back!
boxxer has good solid back control here.
boxxer is looking to control Brennan but Brennan is wriggling around and keeping busy.
boxxer lands punches and elbows.
boxxer controlling well, preventing Brennan from escaping the position.
boxxer is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Brennan tries to escape but boxxer has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
boxxer is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. boxxer gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. boxxer gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. boxxer apologises and we restart here on the feet.
boxxer clinches up with Brennan and pushes him back against the ropes.
Brennan ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brennan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
boxxer trying to control but Brennan is working from the bottom.
Brennan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
boxxer looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Brennan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but boxxer puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
boxxer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brennan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
rocky boxxer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Well, if boxxer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
boxxer thuds a left hand into Brennan's body.
boxxer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brennan avoids the head kick by boxxer.
rocky boxxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for boxxer with that takedown attempt.
Brennan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
boxxer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brennan sprawls well. Brennan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. boxxer gets slowly back to his feet.

boxxer moves into range and clinches up with Brennan.
boxxer is working Brennan over against the ropes.
Brennan tries to pull guard but boxxer won't allow it.
boxxer breaks the clinch.
Brennan with a lazy takedown attempt
and boxxer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brennan's guard now.
boxxer is posturing up here but Brennan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! boxxer tries to roll out but it's too tight and boxxer has to tap! Slick submission there by Brennan!
