Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abekula Malelei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Popov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malelei comes to the cage accompanied by Broken, beat & scarred - Metallica. Popov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Goombas have souls too kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jack Popov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Malelei misses with a series of wild punches.
Malelei circles away from the clinch attempt.
Popov keeps the fight on the outside.
Popov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Popov looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malelei lands a body shot.
Malelei drives through and clinches with Popov against the cage.
Malelei pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Good standup being displayed there by Malelei as he connects with a hook.
Malelei shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Still in half guard, Malelei seems content to control.
Popov is looking to control Malelei's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Popov avoid being mounted?

Malelei decides to stand up.
Malelei misses with a wild body shot.
Malelei throws a series of punches but Popov avoids them all with ease.
Popov tries for a takedown but Malelei circles away easily
and Malelei counters with a slapping leg kick.
Malelei cracks Popov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malelei closes the distance looking for a takedown. Popov stuffs it but Malelei still has hold of him. Malelei picks Popov up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Malelei slams Popov to the floor and that's really hurt Popov - he doesn't know where he is! Malelei throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abekula Malelei!
