Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Leonard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonard comes to the cage accompanied by Lonely Island - Like A Boss. Carwin has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music. Brock Carwin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Leonard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brock Carwin! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin scores a takedown into full mount! Leonard trying desperately to get to his feet.

Carwin is working for a guillotine from mount but Leonard frees his head quite easily.
Carwin scoring with strikes but Leonard is staying in there. A nice elbow there by Carwin. Carwin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carwin working for a submission but Leonard is keeping him at bay. Carwin has control of Leonard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Leonard regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leonard is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Leonard keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Carwin unloading with bombs! Carwin wants to control the pace but Leonard is squirming around nicely. Leonard's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Carwin working away from the top, dropping strikes. Leonard is looking to improve his position but Carwin isn't that keen on the idea. Leonard is breathing heavily. Carwin breaks from Leonard's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Leonard tries to hold on but Carwin pushes him away. Carwin lands a nice shot to the head. Carwin content just to control the position here. Leonard is trying desperately to improve position. Carwin looking to control but Leonard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Leonard working to try and regain half guard.

Carwin lands a heavy elbow. Leonard is squirming around, avoiding Carwin's attempts to control the action. Leonard regains half guard. Carwin trying to control from half guard but Leonard is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Leonard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Carwin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Leonard has his takedown stuffed and Carwin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leonard's guard. Carwin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carwin wants to control from the top but Leonard keeps moving. Leonard is trying to control the position but Carwin postures up. Carwin throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Carwin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Carwin doesn't manage to clinch there - Leonard circles away.
Leonard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carwin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Carwin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Carwin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carwin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Leonard is trying to control Carwin's posture but Carwin avoids it. Carwin wants to take a breather but Leonard manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Carwin. Carwin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Carwin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Leonard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carwin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Carwin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin stands up and waves to Leonard to follow him. Brian Leonard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Leonard tries to clinch and Carwin counters by clinching up. Carwin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Leonard jumps guard but Carwin stands there with Leonard around his waist. Leonard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leonard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Leonard connects with a couple of short punches. Carwin is trying to control the position but Leonard postures up. Carwin working a defensive guard but Leonard passes into half guard.
Carwin is looking for a sweep. Leonard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leonard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Carwin trying to control here.

Leonard looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Brock Carwin has got the better of the ground game so far. Carwin is trying to control but can't.
Carwin tries to get to full guard but Leonard has control of the leg. Leonard postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Carwin to stand up. Carwin swinging wilding here.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Nice body punch from Carwin - that landed with a thud.
Carwin pulls Leonard into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leonard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Leonard decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Carwin shoots and misses and Leonard counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Carwin tries to throw a body punch but Leonard avoids it by throwing Carwin back against the cage. Leonard drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carwin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carwin shoots and misses and Leonard counters by clinching up. Leonard tries a knee to the head but Carwin blocks it.

Carwin is trying to break the clinch but Leonard is controlling him. Leonard connects with a knee to the head.
Carwin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Leonard just stands there and leans against the cage. Brian Leonard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Carwin. Leonard prevents the takedown attempt.

Carwin is trying to trip Leonard. He has hold of a leg but Leonard is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Carwin persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Leonard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carwin is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Brock Carwin will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Leonard closes the distance but Carwin moves to the side and Carwin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Carwin works his way into full mount! Carwin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Carwin breaks from Leonard's wrist control and lands an elbow. Carwin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Leonard manages to avoid the submission attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Carwin tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leonard sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Leonard is looking to improve his position.

Carwin prevents Leonard from improving his position. Carwin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Carwin is thwarting Leonard's attempts to control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Leonard wants to clinch and Carwin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leonard's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin sitting in guard here, content to control. Carwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Leonard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leonard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carwin is aware though and is defending well. Leonard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Leonard has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Carwin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Leonard. Carwin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Brian Leonard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leonard keeps working. Leonard tries to improve position but can't. Leonard gets back to half guard. Leonard wants to control the action here but instead Carwin manages to pass to full mount! Leonard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carwin controlling his opponent. Leonard gets back to half guard. Leonard makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Leonard. Carwin postures up in Leonard's guard and throws a big left but Leonard blocks it. Carwin trying to control but Leonard is working from the bottom. Carwin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Leonard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Carwin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Leonard pulls down on the head and he's put Carwin to sleep! This one is all over!
