Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane Carwin! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin moves in looking to clinch but Mir pushes him off. Carwin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mir's guard. Carwin content to stall in guard here. Mir tries to land a sweep but no joy. Carwin wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving. Carwin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carwin throws a big right hand that misses. Mir wants to sweep but no luck. Carwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Carwin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A shot to de liver by Carwin. Beautiful body shot. Mir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carwin napping and manages to drive through into side control! Carwin struggling a bit here. Carwin being controlled for a moment. Carwin is trying to get back to half guard. Mir in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Carwin is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
