Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin moves in looking to clinch but Mir pushes him off.
Carwin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mir's guard.
Carwin content to stall in guard here.
Mir tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Carwin wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.
Carwin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carwin throws a big right hand that misses.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Carwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Carwin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carwin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
