Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Greywar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Mendosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulo Mendosa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greywar misses with a body kick.
Mendosa moves out of range as Greywar throws a body kick.
Mendosa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Greywar misses with an uppercut.
Mendosa connects with a crisp jab.
Greywar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mendosa to the mat! Mendosa manages to get full guard.
Greywar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Greywar postures up in Mendosa's guard and throws a big left but Mendosa blocks it.
Mendosa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Greywar is one step ahead there.
Mendosa trying to keep a closed guard but Greywar is proving a slippery customer.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Greywar's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Mendosa is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Mendosa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mendosa has momentary wrist control but Greywar slips an elbow through the middle.
Greywar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mendosa is keeping the position for now.
Greywar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Greywar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mendosa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Mendosa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mendosa misses with a series of wild punches.
Greywar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Greywar.
Mendosa looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Greywar throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A right-left combo lands from Mendosa.
A head kick misses from Mendosa.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Greywar misses the shot to the body.
Greywar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mendosa.
Greywar slips a jab from Mendosa.
Greywar throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mendosa's head.
Greywar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mendosa's guard.
Mendosa is looking for a triangle but Greywar pushes his legs off easily.
Mendosa looks gassed!
Greywar passes Mendosa's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Greywar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Greywar looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Greywar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greywar cracks Mendosa with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
