Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allistair Overeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gegard Mousasi !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allistair Overeen!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Overeen closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Mousasi 's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Overeen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mousasi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Overeen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mousasi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Overeen escapes and throws Mousasi 's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mousasi looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Overeen controlling well, preventing Mousasi from escaping the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mousasi wants to get back to his feet.

Overeen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mousasi . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Overeen has the hooks in. Mousasi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Overeen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mousasi napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Overeen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Gegard Mousasi will probably get the nod.

Mousasi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Overeen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mousasi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Overeen has managed to get both his arms back between Mousasi 's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mousasi stuffs the takedown attempt from Overeen. Overeen gets slowly back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Allistair Overeen.
I think Mousasi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
