Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between frank mirko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Grappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mirko kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is break stuff. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grappa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for mirko!
Grappa is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But mirko has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from mirko!
mirko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grappa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grappa pushes mirko off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Grappa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by mirko.
Horrible takedown by Grappa or perhaps it was just good defense by mirko which made him look bad.
Grappa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has mirko pinned against the cage. mirko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Grappa has mirko pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. mirko manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
frank mirko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Grappa.
Grappa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Grappa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. mirko fights it off and pushes away nicely.

mirko sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

mirko lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
mirko is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Grappa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Grappa shrugs it off.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, mirko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Grappa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
mirko is looking to take a break and control but Grappa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Grappa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of mirko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take mirko's back!
Grappa is cranking mirko's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for mirko! He's tightened the choke and mirko is tapping out!
