The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kocur shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Kocur seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Diaz leaves Kocur with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kocur sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Diaz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kocur sees it coming and defends easily.
