Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Athos Dorian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Myres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorian comes to the cage accompanied by DMX-We in here. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Athos Dorian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Myres! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myres tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dorian swats him away and circles back towards the center. Myres decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dorian trying to control from the bottom.
Dorian is concentrating on defense, preventing Myres from advancing position. Myres trying to control from half guard but Dorian is working away. Dorian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Myres wants to get back to his feet.
Myres really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dorian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Myres is keen to just control but Dorian is a slippery customer. Myres thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Dorian tries to roll over but Myres keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Myres decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dorian is trying to control but can't.
Myres is trying to control the action in half guard but Dorian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dorian regains full guard. Nicely done. Dorian is looking for a triangle but Myres pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dorian has a closed guard, preventing Myres from standing up. Dorian keeping moving, preventing Myres from controlling successfully. Myres is stalling in the full guard. Myres postures up.
Dorian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Myres lands a couple of elbows. Dorian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Myres's guard. Myres tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dorian is looking to stand up but Myres won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dorian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Myres swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Myres wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dorian is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Myres wants to stand but Dorian is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dorian won't allow Myres to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dorian shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Myres counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Myres trying to control the position from guard on top but Dorian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Myres throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dorian works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dorian is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dorian looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Myres gets to his feet - Dorian follows without any prompting. Myres looks to land a combination. Dorian sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A combination from Myres does no damage. Myres tries to clinch but Dorian moves out of range. Myres drives through with a takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dorian looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dorian wants to sweep but no luck. Dorian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Myres gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Myres wants to get up but he can't break Dorian's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Myres misses with a low kick. Myres doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dorian counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Myres's guard now. Cody Myres has got the better of the ground game so far. Dorian wants to pass the guard but Myres is keeping the position. Dorian drops back looking for a leg! Myres is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Myres manages to kick Dorian off! Dorian jumps back into Myres's guard. Dorian thows a big elbow that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dorian trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dorian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dorian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Myres is looking to stand up but Dorian isn't so interested in that idea. Myres has a closed guard, preventing Dorian from standing up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Myres gets a takedown into half guard. Dorian wants to control but Myres is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dorian is refusing to be controlled, as Myres sits in half guard. Myres stands up from half guard. Myres shoots in and bounces Dorian off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dorian is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Myres is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Myres is pushing down on Dorian's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dorian is fighting to maintain full guard but Myres has managed to sneak the leg through. Dorian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dorian is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Myres pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Athos Dorian will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Myres!
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Dorian's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Myres misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Myres controlling the position from side mount. Myres wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dorian keeps working. Dorian wants to control but Myres postures up. Myres tries to stand but Dorian is controlling his head. Dorian is not content to let Myres control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Myres lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Myres throws a series of punches but Dorian moves out of range. Dorian misses with a double jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dorian is defended easily by Myres. Myres lands a jab to Dorian's midsection. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Myres closes the distance and lands a one-two. Myres looks to land a combination but Dorian avoids it well. Myres cracks Dorian with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
And that's the end of the fight! Athos Dorian showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dorian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
