Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salva Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kreator - Phobia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Joey Marsh could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Salva Cruz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Salva Cruz! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh looks to land a combination but Cruz avoids it well. Marsh lands a big head kick that sends Cruz tumbling to the mat! Marsh takes a step backwards and waves Cruz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Cruz is rocked! Cruz avoids the head kick by Marsh.
Cruz fails in his attempt to clinch. Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marsh swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cruz has closed the distance and engaged Marsh in a clinch.
Cruz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marsh walks away with a smile on his face. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Marsh connects with a solid leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Cruz drives through and clinches with Marsh against the cage.

Cruz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marsh is one step ahead there. Cruz throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Marsh wants to get up but he can't break Cruz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cruz thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marsh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cruz circles away quickly and effectively. Marsh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Marsh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Marsh. Marsh works over Cruz's head and body with a nice combination. Cruz looks for a takedown but Marsh sprawls well. Cruz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marsh did well to prevent Cruz getting side control. Cruz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cruz slips a nice elbow through Marsh's hands, connecting with Marsh's forehead. Marsh avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cruz. Cruz drops an elbow to the side of Marsh's head. Cruz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Marsh wants to get back to his feet. Cruz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marsh's head. Marsh looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cruz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marsh, pushing him back against the cage. Marsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cruz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cruz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Marsh some visible discomfort.
Cruz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Marsh pushes Cruz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cruz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Cruz scoring with punches from side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cruz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Marsh some visible discomfort.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cruz walks into a stiff left hand from Marsh. Cruz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cruz showed some decent athleticism there. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cruz dives in and grabs Marsh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marsh pushes down on Cruz's head and hops out. Salva Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marsh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Salva Cruz has been cut. Marsh swats away the attempt to clinch by Cruz. Marsh lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Marsh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Salva Cruz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Salva Cruz's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Marsh leaves Cruz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cruz avoids the head kick by Marsh.
Cruz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
And that's the end of the fight! Salva Cruz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cruz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
