Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Munster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, November One! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Munster scores with a takedown into One's guard. Munster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Munster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munster with a flurry of punches that miss. Munster throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Munster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Munster throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munster wants to control from the top but One keeps moving. One really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Munster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Munster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. One should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Munster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. One swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Munster slips a jab from One. Munster darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. One avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Munster. Munster thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Munster is looking to take a break and control but One is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Munster is taking a breather. One says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. One wants to get back to his feet.
Munster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Munster is working for a submission of some sort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. One wants to get back to his feet. One wants to control but Munster is keeping busy and won't allow it. One blocking the ground and pound attempt from Munster. Munster is trying to control. One wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Munster controlling the pace. Munster looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Munster maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! One could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Munster has cracked it and One is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Munster!
