Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Devil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ericson Mecos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devil's entrance music is Darkseed - forever darkness. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Devil has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Devil seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devil stuffs the takedown attempt from Mecos. Mecos gets slowly back to his feet.
Mecos gets a clinch.
Mecos tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Devil avoids it.
Devil gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Mecos looking for submissions off his back.
Mecos actively working from the bottom here.
Devil is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mecos defends it well.
Devil thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mecos's head.
Devil seems to be working for a kimura but Mecos defends the submission attempt.
Devil is breathing heavily.
Mecos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mecos is looking to sinch up a triangle. Devil throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mecos's body to avoid the submission. Mecos has instead reached around Devil's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mecos arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ericson Mecos!
