Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and greg davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, greg davidson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! davidson throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely. davidson moves into the clinch successfully.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Silva holds on and takes a little breather. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to control from the top but davidson keeps moving. Silva is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because davidson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. davidson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. davidson keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva thows a big elbow that misses. Silva wants to control from the top but davidson keeps moving.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. davidson throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. davidson misses with a body kick. Silva closes the distance but davidson moves to the side and davidson counters with a two punch combo. Silva looks to clinch and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Silva is breathing heavily. davidson throws a leg kick but Silva moved away. davidson throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
davidson throws a right and a left that both miss. No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
davidson stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. davidson throws a head kick that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A punch combination from davidson misses. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Silva! davidson is out on his feet! Silva rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - davidson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! davidson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anderson Silva!
