Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benny Tronk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Hatter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tronk comes into the arena with "Go Getta" - Young Jeezy blaring out of the sound system. Benny Tronk could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mad Hatter's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benny Tronk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mad Hatter! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tronk fails with a takedown attempt. Tronk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hatter is fending him off so far but Tronk persists. Nope, Hatter circles away and we're back to standing. Tronk has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benny Tronk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tronk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hatter tries to avoid it but Tronk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hatter to the ground. Hatter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Tronk. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tronk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hatter's waist but Hatter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tronk off to one side. Tronk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tronk. Tronk tries to close the distance and clinch but Hatter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tronk fails in his attempt to clinch. Benny Tronk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tronk doesn't manage to clinch there - Hatter circles away.
Hatter throws a looping overhand right but Tronk ducks down to avoid it. A head kick misses from Tronk. Tronk fails with the takedown. Tronk fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hatter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tronk. The fight stays on the outside here - Tronk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tronk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hatter swivels and escapes. Tronk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hatter avoids it really well and circles away. Tronk tries to clinch but Hatter moves out of range. Mad Hatter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tronk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hatter as he avoids it easily. Tronk tries to clinch there but Hatter circles away.
Tronk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hatter. Tronk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tronk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hatter as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tronk doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Tronk is breathing heavily. Hatter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Hatter as Tronk shoots in. Hatter throws a jab but it's blocked by Tronk. Hatter cracks Tronk with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Benny Tronk has been cut. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tronk is looking to clinch. Hatter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mad Hatter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Benny Tronk's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tronk throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Hatter works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hatter can do anything to dispel that myth. Hatter wants to get back to full guard. Hatter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tronk. Tronk is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hatter defends it well. Tronk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hatter sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatter has hold of Tronk's hands but Tronk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Tronk is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hatter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tronk is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatter is trying to stand back up but Tronk is controlling him
Tronk is looking for a kimura here.
Hatter tries to get to full guard but Tronk has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tronk is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hatter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tronk. Hatter is trying to control but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tronk wants to work for an arm triangle but Hatter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tronk throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Hatter stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Tronk follows into mount!
It looks like Mad Hatter has been cut. Hatter prevents Tronk from taking his back. Hatter wants to hold on but Tronk pushes him away. Tronk working for a guillotine from mount but Hatter is in no mood to give up. Hatter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tronk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hatter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tronk.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tronk prevents Hatter from getting the reversal. Tronk is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hatter can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tronk working for a guillotine from mount but Hatter is in no mood to give up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hatter is working to get back to half guard.
Tronk working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Hatter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tronk misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hatter is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Tronk looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Tronk is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hatter can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tronk throwing strikes here but Hatter is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tronk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Tronk has hold of Hatter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hatter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that's the end of the fight! Benny Tronk showed his dominance in that final round. I think Tronk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
