Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zahir Gado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Zahir Gado enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Power shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gado pinned against the cage. Gado gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gado tries to clinch up.
Power tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gado swivels and escapes.

Power has Gado pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Power pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gado tumbling to the mat - Power dives into Gado's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Gado is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Power tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Power has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Power is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gado is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Gado is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Power is controlling him well.
Power advances to full mount.
Power trying to control but he's not successful this time.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Power jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gado is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gado and Power has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gado is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Power off and has taken his back!

Power tries to roll over but Gado keeps him under control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gado wants to lay and pray for a moment but Power keeps working.

Gado must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Power working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Power has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Power has his foot on Gado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gado works his way back into a safe position though.
