Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Sartori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris comes to the cage accompanied by Harva meistä on rautaa. Sartori has chosen The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony as his entrance music. Evan Sartori has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Norris!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Sartori!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Norris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sartori's half guard.
Sartori flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Norris missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Sartori is trying to get back to full guard.
Sartori has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Norris is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Norris seems to be looking for submissions.

Norris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sartori doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Norris.
Sartori has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Norris is working away from the top position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sartori shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sartori seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Norris does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Norris has momentary wrist control but Sartori slips an elbow through the middle.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Norris is on top in guard.

Norris is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sartori has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sartori!

so Norris counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Norris is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sartori has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sartori!

Sartori is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Norris is just riding it out for now. Sartori eventually gives up the hold.

Norris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sartori can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sartori has hold of Norris's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Norris manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Evan Sartori showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sartori is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
