The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nightroad moves away from the strike by Simmons.
Simmons fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nightroad thows a body shot but no joy.
Nightroad tries to move into range but Simmons moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Simmons throws out a powerful jab.
Nightroad turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Simmons scores with a jab. Nightroad acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Simmons tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nightroad was well out of range. Poor timing from Simmons.
Nightroad throws a sloppy head kick and Simmons moves out of range easily.
Simmons lands a nice looking body shot.
Nightroad throws a nice looking combination but Simmons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nightroad checks a leg kick.
Simmons misses with a jab, cross combination.
Simmons drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Simmons throws a right and a left that Nightroad avoids nicely.
Simmons on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nightroad. Nightroad obviously looking to wear him down.
Nightroad lands a nice leg kick that just misses Simmons's sensitive parts.
Simmons throws a big shot that misses.
Simmons scores with the left hand. Nightroad knows he should have avoided that one.
Simmons connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Nightroad tumbling to the canvas! Simmons pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Nightroad was done - good stoppage!
