PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Dinaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Brat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Brat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Brat jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dinaver is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dinaver and Brat has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Brat is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dinaver is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Brat fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Dinaver avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Brat.
Brat postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Brat wants to control but Dinaver is keeping him busy.

Dinaver is refusing to be controlled, as Brat sits in half guard.
Brat thows a huge punch but Dinaver dodges it nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dinaver looks to score with a jab to the body but Brat is just out of range.
No joy there for Dinaver, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dinaver.
Dinaver rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brat moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fighters circling - Dinaver throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brat tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dinaver swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dinaver lands with a nice combination. Brat backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Benjamin Brat has been cut.
Dinaver tries to land a front kick but Brat steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Dinaver on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dinaver tries to get out of the position.

Dinaver throws Brat to one side and escapes!

Dinaver fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brat manages to avoid it.

Brat unloads with some shots from mount but Dinaver bucks and avoids them well.

Brat misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
