Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Schmidli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and A Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmidli comes to the cage accompanied by Busta Rhymes - Ante Up. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Schmidli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, A Striker! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schmidli tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Schmidli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Striker's waist but Striker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schmidli off to one side. Striker works over Schmidli's head and body with a nice combination. Horrible takedown by Schmidli or perhaps it was just good defense by Striker which made him look bad. Schmidli wants to clinch up but Striker keeps it at a distance. Schmidli tries to close the distance and clinch but Striker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Schmidli dives in and grabs Striker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Striker pushes down on Schmidli's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Schmidli. That's going to take a lot out of him. Striker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Schmidli's head. A combination from Striker does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Striker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schmidli. Striker circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's better than Schmidli was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schmidli is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Striker is surviving well by controlling Schmidli's body position as best he can. Schmidli stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Striker throws a one two combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Striker throws a hook but Schmidli blocks it. Schmidli is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Schmidli avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Striker catches Schmidli with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Striker closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Schmidli is rocked! Striker tests Schmidli's chin there with a solid looking shot. Oh Schmidli is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schmidli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Striker is fending him off so far but Schmidli persists. Nope, Striker circles away and we're back to standing. Schmidli seems to have got his legs back now. Striker scores with a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Striker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Schmidli takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Striker looks to land a combination. Schmidli sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schmidli fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Schmidli has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Striker finds it's way round the side to connect with Schmidli's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A Striker dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Striker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Schmidli walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Schmidli fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Striker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Schmidli tries to clinch but Striker is having none of it. Striker lands a jab to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidli tries to score a power double leg takedown but Striker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schmidli somewhat. The fight stays on the outside here - Schmidli looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Schmidli dodges the punch combination from Striker.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Striker lands a left and a right that send Schmidli crashing to the mat, dazed. Striker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Marcus Schmidli has been cut. Schmidli misses with a takedown attempt - Striker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Schmidli. That's going to take a lot out of him. Striker Rushes Schmidli and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Schmidli is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Striker Piles on the pressure and Schmidli crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). A Striker!
