Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernandinho BeatBox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Fernandinho BeatBox was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BeatBox has a takedown stuffed.
Nice body kick there by BeatBox.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from BeatBox is defended easily by Rodrigo.
BeatBox shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rodrigo pinned against the cage. Rodrigo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Enrique Rodrigo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernandinho BeatBox.
BeatBox shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
BeatBox wants to work for an arm triangle but Rodrigo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
BeatBox wants to pass to mount but Rodrigo is defending the position.
BeatBox prevents Rodrigo from standing back up.
BeatBox throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
BeatBox trying to control from Rodrigo's half guard. Rodrigo has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Rodrigo is looking to stand up but BeatBox isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rodrigo drives through with a takedown into guard.
BeatBox keeping full guard, as Rodrigo tries to pass.
BeatBox trying to keep a closed guard but Rodrigo is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
BeatBox keeping moving, preventing Rodrigo from controlling successfully.
Rodrigo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed BeatBox's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
BeatBox won't allow Rodrigo to pass to mount.
Rodrigo is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rodrigo is keen to just control but BeatBox is a slippery customer.
Rodrigo wants to free his trapped foot but BeatBox is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if BeatBox can do anything to dispel that myth.
BeatBox is looking to control Rodrigo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can BeatBox avoid being mounted?
BeatBox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
BeatBox keeps control of the position for the meantime.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
BeatBox throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rodrigo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts BeatBox as he jumps to the side.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rodrigo.
Rodrigo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. BeatBox was covering up waiting for the punch and Rodrigo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
BeatBox is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
BeatBox looking for a sweep. Not yet BeatBox, not yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enrique Rodrigo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
BeatBox fails with the takedown
and Rodrigo counters with a takedown into side control.

Rodrigo has hold of BeatBox's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! BeatBox tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rodrigo cranks the arm and BeatBox screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from BeatBox, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Enrique Rodrigo!
