Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Biggie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeLarcus White! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. White working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. You can see the frustration on Biggie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Biggie defending against the ground and pound. White is looking to take a break and control but Biggie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. White has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Biggie shoots and misses and White counters by clinching up.
That's one minute gone in the round. White is looking to break free of the clinch but Biggie has double underhooks. Biggie pulls guard. Biggie keeping full guard, as White tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White postures up in Biggie's guard and throws a big left but Biggie blocks it. Biggie looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. White is stalling in the full guard. I looks like White might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Biggie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Biggie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Biggie is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Biggie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White being controlled here momentarily. Biggie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Biggie is breathing heavily. White controls from within his opponent's guard. White wants to get up but he can't break Biggie's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Biggie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Biggie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Biggie tries for a takedown but White circles away easily and White counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Biggie is lucky that one didn't land flush. DeLarcus White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Biggie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Biggie with a lazy takedown attempt and White counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Biggie. That's going to take a lot out of him. White goes for a takedown attempt but Biggie pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
White throws a sloppy head kick and Biggie moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DeLarcus White dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Biggie fails with the takedown and White counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Biggie's guard now. White advances position into side control! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. White throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Biggie works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Biggie is positioning himself well to prevent White advancing to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. White thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. White wants to lay and pray for a moment but Biggie keeps working. White is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. White looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. White looks to land a strike but Biggie avoids it nicely and regains full guard. White trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. White passes Biggie's left leg - he's now in half guard. White is tying to control. Biggie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Biggie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Biggie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Biggie seems keen to control White's posture.

White looking to sit in guard and control but Biggie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Biggie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Biggie wants to control from the top but White keeps moving. Biggie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. White trying to control the position.

DeLarcus White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Biggie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Biggie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. White throws a leg kick but Biggie sees it coming and moves out of range. White throws a left and a right that both miss

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. White manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Biggie controls the pace of the fight for a moment. White looking to control.

Biggie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. White is keeping the position for now. Biggie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Biggie is standing up over White. White looks to escape but Biggie dives into side control.
White is trying to escape the position but Biggie is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White taking punishment in the form of punches.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Christopher Biggie just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Biggie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Biggie lands in his opponent's guard. Biggie controls from within his opponent's guard. Biggie wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White wants to sweep here but Biggie controlling him for the moment. White is trying to control the position but Biggie postures up. White has an active guard here but Biggie has managed to pass into half guard.
