The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Painhammer throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Halloway gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Halloway wants to get back to striking at distance but Painhammer won't allow it.
Painhammer has had enough of the clinch but Halloway keeps him there for the moment.
Halloway wants a takedown.
Painhammer lands an elbow just above Halloway 's eye.
Halloway is looking to break free of the clinch but Painhammer has double underhooks.

Painhammer throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Halloway blocks it with crossed arms.
Painhammer throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Halloway throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Painhammer's head.
Halloway changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Painhammer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Painhammer is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on Halloway's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Halloway in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Halloway tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Painhammer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Halloway on the ground.

Painhammer parries the strikes from Halloway easily there. Halloway is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Painhammer to escape.

Halloway lands some shots froms side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halloway creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Painhammer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Halloway wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Painhammer is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Halloway trying to control the action but Painhammer is working from the bottom.
Halloway takes a little break here. Painhammer wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Let's hope that Halloway has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Halloway has hold of Painhammer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Painhammer seems comfortable defending it but Halloway has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Painhammer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Painhammer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Halloway couldn't care less - he's delighted!
