Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Madukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dirt McGirk!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madukes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

McGirk is bucking up trying to escape but Madukes cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McGirk avoids a punch combination nicely.

Madukes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McGirk is trying to defend but Madukes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McGirk can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Madukes controls the pace.

Madukes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McGirk is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McGirk has escaped and now he's on top!

McGirk is looking to stand up but Madukes isn't so interested in that idea.
Madukes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGirk can do to turn this around?
Madukes throws a strike but McGirk rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Brian Madukes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Madukes pushes McGirk off and scrambles back to his feet.
McGirk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Well Madukes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
