Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rorouni kenshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wanderlei Silva is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Silva throws a series of punches but kenshin avoids them all with ease.
kenshin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing kenshin off to one side.

Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for kenshin on that attempt.
Silva is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by kenshin.

kenshin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
kenshin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and kenshin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

kenshin stands up over Silva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

kenshin drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick kenshin off! kenshin jumps back into Silva's guard.
kenshin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and kenshin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
kenshin gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting.
kenshin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. kenshin gets slowly back to his feet.

and kenshin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Silva is looking to get back to is feet but kenshin passes into side control.

Silva wants to get back to his feet.
kenshin is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
kenshin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no kenshin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Silva is trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
kenshin has hold of Silva's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Silva tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - kenshin cranks the arm and Silva screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Silva, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). rorouni kenshin!
