Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Warrior Andrew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dane Cain! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cain is looking to take a break and control but Andrew is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cain might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Andrew kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cain prevents Andrew from standing back up.

Andrew is refusing to be controlled, as Cain sits in half guard. Cain is figuring out what he wants to do next.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Andrew scores with a shot to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cain. Cain dives in and grabs Andrew's left leg, looking for a takedown. Andrew pushes down on Cain's head and hops out. Cain tries for a takedown but Andrew sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Warrior Andrew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dane Cain. Andrew fails to land with a series of punches.
Andrew stalks Cain and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cain's face. Cain staggers backwards, shaken. Cain takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cain forces Andrew back against the cage and clinches. Andrew looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cain is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Andrew gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Cain looks gassed! Cain lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Andrew's head. Cain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andrew keeps working. Andrew is trying to stand back up but Cain is controlling him
Cain is stalling here. Andrew is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Cain seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Andrew has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cain tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Andrew wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cain avoids a punch combination nicely.
Andrew fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrew scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Andrew throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Left hook, right uppercut from Andrew. A punch combination from Andrew misses. Andrew misses with a series of wild punches.
Andrew looks to land a right hand but Cain moved out of range. Cain fails with the takedown. Cain shoots in for a double leg but Andrew sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Andrew is fending him off so far but Cain persists. Nope, Andrew circles away and we're back to standing. Andrew throws a right and a left that both miss. Andrew bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cain's head backwards. Cain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andrew wants to stand up but Cain is controlling him. Cain gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cain is defended easily by Andrew. Andrew lands a jab to the head.
No joy there for Andrew, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Andrew lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Andrew. Cain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Andrew but Andrew pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cain fails with a takedown attempt. Andrew connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Andrew scores with a three punch combo!
Cain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Warrior Andrew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dane Cain. Cain slips a jab and a cross from Andrew.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andrew displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Andrew lands a nice shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Andrew closes the distance and lands a one-two. Andrew lands a nice hook to Cain's body. Cain takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Andrew leaves Cain with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Warrior Andrew is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andrew tries to bum rush Cain with a series of wild strikes but Cain uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Horrible takedown by Cain or perhaps it was just good defense by Andrew which made him look bad. Cain misses with a takedown attempt - Andrew sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Some wild striking there from Andrew.
Cain feints and as Andrew raises his hands in defense, Cain changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cain stands up and waves to Andrew to follow him. Cain tries for a takedown but Andrew sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andrew scores with a hook to the body. Cain takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Andrew really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Andrew with a nice cross. Andrew fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cain throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Andrew's head. Cain misses with a takedown attempt - Andrew sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Andrew lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Andrew. Cain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Nice uppercut lands for Andrew. Cain takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Andrew looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Andrew misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Andrew. No joy for Cain on that attempt. Cain fails with the takedown. Cain moves into the clinch. Cain fails to pull guard.
Cain tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Andrew smiles and moves away.

Andrew lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cain circles away quickly and effectively. Cain shoots in but Andrew avoids the takedown attempt easily. Andrew loads up on a big right hand but Cain slips the punch. Cain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Andrew as he jumps to the side. Andrew lands a nice looking body shot.
Cain gets the takedown into side control. Cain wants to control but Andrew is keeping him busy. Cain is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Andrew knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Andrew tries to stand but Cain is controlling his head. Cain is looking to reverse the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Andrew scores with a one two! Cain had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Andrew scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Cain closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Cain shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Andrew manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andrew keeping full guard, as Cain tries to pass. Andrew wants to stand up but Cain is controlling him. Cain wants to control from the top but Andrew keeps moving. Warrior Andrew has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cain stops Andrew from standing up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Andrew sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. No luck for Cain with that takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Andrew misses with a series of wild punches.

And that's the end of the fight! Dane Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Cain winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
