Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kumi Nauha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virtanen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alone - Angel Blake kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kumi Nauha has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kumi Nauha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Virtanen! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnem�ki and Johanna Lukiainen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Virtanen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nauha is trying to defend but Virtanen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Nauha wants to control but Virtanen is keeping busy.
Virtanen performing his best blanket impression for a moment. I looks like Virtanen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Nauha wants to improve his position but Virtanen is controlling well.
Nauha is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Virtanen pulls his head out easily. Nauha wants to get back to full guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Virtanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nauha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nauha tries for a takedown but Virtanen circles away easily
and Virtanen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nauha! Virtanen trying to control but he's not successful this time. Nauha can't escape the position.
Virtanen wants to finish this one by submission but Nauha is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Virtanen. Virtanen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Virtanen avoids the attempt from Nauha to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nauha is looking to improve his position but Virtanen isn't that keen on the idea.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Nauha gets back to half guard.
Virtanen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nauha defends it well. Virtanen is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Virtanen passes to full mount!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Virtanen prevents Nauha from getting the reversal. Nauha regains half guard. Nauha is breathing heavily. Nauha is trying to get back to full guard. Nauha gets back to full guard.
Nauha looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Virtanen connects with a couple of short punches. Virtanen advances position into side control!
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Virtanen stands up.
Virtanen gets the takedown into side control. Nauha is looking to reverse the position. Virtanen wants to control for a moment but Nauha uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Nauha tries to roll over but Virtanen keeps him under control.
Virtanen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Sami Virtanen dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nauha misses with a takedown
and Virtanen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Virtanen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nauha trying to control from the bottom.
Virtanen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nauha keeps working. Nauha regains full guard. Nicely done. Nauha wants to sweep but no luck.
Nauha had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Virtanen defends it easily. Nauha keeping moving, preventing Virtanen from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Virtanen landing some decent shots from guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Nauha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Virtanen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nauha can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Virtanen controls the pace.
Nauha is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Virtanen defends well.
Virtanen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Virtanen trying to control but Nauha is working from the bottom.
Nauha looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Virtanen has picked Nauha up and slammed him! Nauha can't keep hold of the triangle and Virtanen manages to pass to side control! Nauha tries to buck Virtanen off but Virtanen is having none of it. Virtanen lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Virtanen trying to control the action but Nauha is working from the bottom.
Virtanen stands up.
Virtanen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Virtanen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Let's hope that Virtanen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Virtanen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Nauha is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Virtanen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Nauha is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Virtanen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Virtanen's back!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nauha working for the choke. Sami Virtanen has got the better of the ground game so far. Virtanen has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Virtanen tries to break free.
Virtanen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Nauha's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
I really don't envy Virtanen right now.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Sami Virtanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Nauha doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Virtanen counters with a single leg into guard. Nauha didn't expect that.
Nauha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Virtanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Virtanen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Virtanen wants to stand but Nauha is controlling his posture from full guard. Nauha bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Virtanen's guard.
Virtanen pushes Nauha off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Nauha decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Virtanen's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nauha wants to control from the top but Virtanen keeps moving.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Virtanen throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Virtanen tries to strike from the bottom.
Virtanen keeping full guard, as Nauha tries to pass. Nauha is working hard here to advance position. Virtanen is pulling down on Nauha's head. It's preventing any offense from Nauha, at least for the moment. Nauha slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nauha is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Virtanen's shoulder. That is not cool. Nauha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Virtanen keeps working.
Nauha tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Virtanen can't do much from the bottom here. Virtanen gets back to half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nauha is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Virtanen is just riding it out for now. Nauha eventually gives up the hold.

Nauha seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Virtanen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nauha seems to be working for a kimura but Virtanen defends the submission attempt. Kumi Nauha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sami Virtanen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Virtanen is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kumi Nauha. Well Virtanen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
