Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Horus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Horus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fox fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Horus checks it well. A big left from Fox misses. Fox swings for the body but Horus moves out of range.
Fox catches Horus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Horus finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Horus shoots in for a double leg but Fox sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Horus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Good work by Fox as he checks the leg kick. Fox wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Horus tries to clinch up but Fox circles away and keeps his distance. Horus tries to clinch up. Horus shoots for a double leg takedown but Fox sprawls well. He's pushed Horus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fox connects with a right hand. Horus shakes it off. A looping hook to the body misses from Fox. Horus does a little dance to reset his feet. Horus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fox throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Fox is trying to improve his position. Fox is not content to let Horus control the position. Fox tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fox can do anything to dispel that myth. Horus decides to stand back up. Horus steps back and let's Fox get back to his feet. Horus fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Fox as Horus shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Horus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horus is breathing heavily. Horus shoots in for a takedown but Fox shows good takedown defense. Fox connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The fight stays on the outside here - Horus looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fox lands an overhand right. Nice combo by Fox! Oh, that's hurt him - Horus falls to the canvas and Fox follows him into side control.
Horus is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fox sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Horus is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Oh Horus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Horus is trying to escape the position but Fox is controlling the position. Horus seems to have got his legs back now. Fox creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Horus sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sloppy strikes there by Fox. Fox decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fox cracks Horus with an uppercut from hell and Horus crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Fox's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Fox in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fox stands and steps away. Horus gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Horus on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Fox throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Horus colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Fox as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Horus is left battered and dazed whilst Fox and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Fox!
