Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Oliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lylan Mitchikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lylan Mitchikin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lylan Mitchikin!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliva shoots in for a takedown but Mitchikin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mitchikin shoots in and bounces Oliva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Mitchikin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mitchikin circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Mitchikin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oliva won't be happy with that.
Oliva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mitchikin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Oliva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mitchikin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Mitchikin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Mitchikin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Mitchikin closes the distance and clinches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oliva is trying to force a seperation but Mitchikin has the dominant position.

Oliva is breathing heavily.

Mitchikin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Oliva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mitchikin tries to clinch up but Oliva circles away and keeps his distance.
Mitchikin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Mitchikin clinches up with Oliva and pushes him back against the cage.

Mitchikin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Oliva is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mitchikin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Oliva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Well, if Mitchikin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lylan Mitchikin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mitchikin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mitchikin throws a series of punches but Oliva avoids them all with ease.

Mitchikin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oliva's guard.

Oliva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Oliva wants to stand up but Mitchikin is controlling him.

Mitchikin passes Oliva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mitchikin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Oliva wants to get back to full guard.
Mitchikin tries to pass to full mount but Oliva defends it.
Mitchikin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Oliva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Mitchikin decides to stand up.

Mitchikin takes the fight into the clinch.
Oliva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mitchikin walks away with a smile on his face. Oliva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sergio Oliva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Mitchikin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Oliva did well to prevent Mitchikin getting side control.

Mitchikin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Oliva to see if he's OK.

Lylan Mitchikin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Mitchikin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Oliva to the mat! Oliva manages to get full guard.
Oliva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mitchikin stops Oliva from standing up.

Oliva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mitchikin lands with a slapping head kick.

Mitchikin moves into the clinch.

Mitchikin successfully pulls guard.
Oliva wants to control from the top but Mitchikin keeps moving.
Oliva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mitchikin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mitchikin has his hands on Oliva's head, controlling the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mitchikin trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Mitchikin is pulling down on Oliva's head to control his posture.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Oliva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mitchikin pulls Oliva in close to prevent any damage.
Mitchikin keeping moving, preventing Oliva from controlling successfully.
Mitchikin wants to sweep but no luck.

Mitchikin thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Oliva won't allow Mitchikin to sweep him here.
Oliva wants to control from the top but Mitchikin keeps moving.
Oliva throws a strike but Mitchikin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mitchikin rushes Oliva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mitchikin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oliva leaves Mitchikin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Oliva is looking to clinch.

and Mitchikin counters with a single leg into guard. Oliva didn't expect that.

Lylan Mitchikin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mitchikin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
