Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Snuka!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snuka throws a right and a left that Rua avoids nicely.
Snuka scores with a jab. Rua acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A right-left combo lands from Snuka.
Snuka displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
A clash of legs there as Rua blocks the low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Snuka. That's going to slow Rua down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Snuka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rua pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Snuka keeps the fight on the outside.
Rua shoots in and drives through. Snuka sprawls well.
Snuka rushes Rua and presses him up against the cage.
Snuka throws an elbow that misses.
Rua takes a shot to the head.
Snuka softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Snuka pushes off an throws an elbow but Rua leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Snuka lands a body punch.
Snuka lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Rua breaks the clinch.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Snuka bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rua's head backwards.
Rua takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Snuka lands a head kick. Rua smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Rua takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rua is rocked!
Snuka cracks Rua with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Rua tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Snuka pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Rua is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Snuka!
